Total Joint Orthopedics Appoints Vito Guardia as Vice President of Commercial to Lead Accelerated Commercial Expansion and ASC Growth Strategy

SALT LAKE CITY, UT [March 03, 2026] Total Joint Orthopedics, Inc. (TJO), an innovator in advanced orthopedic implant systems and Aurum® bearing technology, today announced the appointment of Vito N. Guardia as Vice President of Commercial. Mr. Guardia brings more than 20 years of orthopedic commercial leadership experience and a proven track record of scaling high-performance distributor networks, restructuring underperforming territories, and driving measurable market growth.

Mr. Guardia most recently served as Area Vice President, Northeast U.S. for DJO Surgical, part of Enovis, where he developed and led a network of independent orthopedic distributors across a highly competitive region.

“Vito’s experience building disciplined, accountable distributor organizations within complex orthopedic markets makes him uniquely suited for TJO’s next phase of growth,” said Erin Hofmann, CEO of TJO. “As we execute on our strong, well-funded commercial expansion strategy, including targeted ASC penetration and continued rollout of our Klassic® Knee System, Vito brings the operational rigor and field leadership required to scale effectively.”

Positioned for ASC Migration

The orthopedic industry continues to experience significant migration of joint replacement procedures from hospitals to ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs), driven by site-of-care cost pressures, surgeon ownership models, standardized implant preferences, efficiency demands, and value-based reimbursement models.

TJO’s portfolio — particularly the Klassic® Knee System and its Aurum® Technology platform — is ideally aligned with this trend. The company’s emphasis on surgical efficiency, streamlined instrumentation, advanced materials, and a pathway toward cementless fixation provides meaningful advantages in the ASC environment.

Mr. Guardia’s experience leading orthopedic commercialization within distributor-driven models and highly competitive regions positions him to implement a disciplined, metrics-based ASC expansion strategy at TJO.

A Leader Built for Growth

Throughout his career, Mr. Guardia has demonstrated distributor network restructuring and expansion, P&L ownership and performance management, product launche xecution, international market development, and the development of high-accountability sales cultures.

Prior to DJO Surgical, he held senior leadership roles at Smith & Nephew, Extremity Medical, and A.M. Surgical, where he successfully rebuilt territories, expanded distribution infrastructure, and launched new orthopedic platforms.

At TJO, Mr. Guardia will focus on expanding and strengthening the national distributor network, implementing KPI-driven performance systems, accelerating commercialization of the Klassic® Knee portfolio, executing a focused approach to ASC market growth, and supporting scalable revenue expansion aligned with TJO’s long-term strategic objectives.

“TJO represents a rare combination of innovation and untapped market potential,” said Mr. Guardia. “The company’s differentiated technologies, strong intellectual property foundation, and commitment to operational efficiency create a compelling opportunity for growth. I look forward to building a scalable commercial engine that supports surgeon success and drives sustainable national expansion.”

With a strong capital foundation and a clear strategic roadmap, TJO continues to advance its mission of delivering reproducible results and measurable value in orthopedic surgery.
