Total Joint Orthopedics Surpasses 20,000 Klassic® Knee Implants in the United States

Total Joint Orthopedics, Inc. (TJO) announces that it has reached 20,000 total knee replacements utilizing the Klassic® Knee System. The 20,000th total knee was implanted by Samuel S. Wellman, MD, of Duke Orthopaedics. “The Klassic Knee is an innovative implant system that improves patient outcomes and decreases unnecessary burden in the OR. I am excited to be a part of this important milestone and can’t wait to see what’s next for TJO” said Dr. Wellman.

"Founded by surgeons to offer a better choice in total joint replacement, we are proud of this achievement driven by the support of our valued partners. TJO is on a mission to continually improve hip and knee replacement surgery by designing the most efficient, human-centered systems in the world. Earning the trust of respected clinicians while continuing to give back not only validates our efforts, but proves there is more work to be done" said Andrew Morris, VP, Strategy.

The Klassic® Knee System is a modern universal design that utilizes a single tray to complete up to 90% of primary total knee replacements (100% with three trays). The Klassic® Knee System was designed with users in mind, providing total value for our stakeholders without compromise.
